Creating Student Groups and Group Authorizations

Create Student Groups

1.  Login in to your Organizations VB-MAPP account on the VB-MAPP App website.  https://www.vbmappapp.com

2.  Click on your Organization name in the Organizations section.

3.  In the Student Groups section click on Create Group.

4.  Give the group a name and optional description and then click Create.

You will now see your group listed in the Student Groups section.

They can also be seen in the drop down menu next to each students name in the Active Student Records Section.

5.  Do this for as many classrooms or groups you wish to create.  Don’t worry, you can always create more later.

 

Assigning Student to Groups

Once your groups are created, begin assigning students to their group.

1.  If you are not already logged in, you will need to login in to your Organizations VB-MAPP account on the VB-MAPP App website.  https://www.vbmappapp.com

2.  Click on your Organization name in the Organizations section.

3.  Select the group from the dropdown menu next to each student in the Active Student Records section.

4.  After the students are assigned to a group click Update Student Group(s).

You can remove students from a group by selecting No Group from the dropdown menu and clicking Update Group(s).

Students can be added and removed to the Student Groups at any time without having to redo the authorization.

 

Create a Group Authorization

1.  Click on Create Group Authorization in the Authorizations section.

2.  From the drop down menu select the group you are creating the authorization for.

3.  Enter the VB-MAPP account email for the teacher/ clinician that will have access to these students.  (Each authorized user much have their own Free VB-MAPP account before they can have students assigned to them.)

4.  Select the type of authorization from the authorization drop down:

  •   View All Group Students - can view data but cannot conduct or make changes to assessments
  •   View  and Edit All Group Students - can view data as well as conduct and make changes to assessments.

5.  Click Create Authorization.

6.  Do this for all of your Student Groups.

7.  You will be able to see all of your Group Authorizations in the Authorizations Section of your Organization.
